We operate a fleet of modern Sikorsky S92 helicopters in both offshore passenger transportation and Search and Rescue (SAR) roles. We operate out of a state-of-the-art heliport, hangar and dedicated SAR facility,
which has a proven 24/7 365 response posture of being airborne within 20 minutes. The world class training our flight crew receives is completed in one of the most advanced flight simulators provided by CAE which is located in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador. Cougar Helicopters is a recognized and respected leader among helicopter operators throughout the industry and always remains proactive in the advancement of flight safety.
Currently has a full-time permanent opportunity for a Stores Keeper at our St. John's base. Daily shift is from 12pm - 12am and the schedule is 4 day on, 5 days off, 5 days on, and 4 days off
General Job Definition:
The Stores Keeper reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for the control inventory functions within the inventory management software and all other duties assigned.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Control inventory functions within inventory management software;
Complete receiving inspections and any resulting Maintenance Release or Traceability;
Tag and batch information;
Scrutinize documentation received with materials;
Produce receiving reports;
Maintain copies of all required traceability records in electronic records keeping system as applicable to stores;
Ensure all parts and materials are properly certified before being placed in stores;
Ensure all tags and history records are attached to appropriate part or component and that the records integrity is protected;
Ensure email communications are conducted with proper email etiquette;
Completion of in house off aircraft work orders;
Maintain stock levels as required;
Control movements and tracking of consignment stock;
Shipping and receiving of company property and aircraft parts;
Track shipments to ensure no loss or delays affect operations;
Review shelf life reports and remove expired items from bonded stores;
Ensure stores are maintained in a clean and orderly manner;
Perform pick-up and delivery of shipments and supplies as required;
Other duties as required.
Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
Practice workplace safety;
Be familiar with and comply with the Cougar SMS and HSE policies and procedures;
Be responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the workplace requirements for Cougar’s day-to-day operations and asking for assistance when unclear about a workplace process to complete a job task safely;
Report hazards: If an employee encounters an unsafe or harmful condition or situation or if they are unclear if a task is safe, the employee is responsible to report this immediately to their supervisor or through the Cougar Safety Hazard Observation Program (S.H.O.P.); and
Wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma;
Experience in inventory management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organization and coordination skills;
Strong communication skills;
Strong general handyperson skills;
Strong computer skills;
Self-starter and able to work unsupervised;
Thorough knowledge of shipping and packing procedures;
Experience using aviation maintenance software;
Thorough knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations;
Thorough knowledge of industry and Transport Canada’s requirements for the storage and certifications of components, parts and material; and
Strong understanding of how work performed impacts the safety of aircraft operated.
